Stock Footage for Cost-Constrained Video Productions

It can be quite a challenge to shoot the entire contents for your production as it may take months to come up with a substantial amount of quality scenes. This requires not only time but also a lot of finance for the completion of the whole film. However, a viable alternative to this problem is stock footage which can substantially save both time and money on video production. Stock footage is a perfect resource for increasing the impact and production value when making any kind of documentary.

There are a few companies which provide a range of stock footage as per your requirements. You can choose stock footage depending on your production, your budget and the audience you are attempting to reach. Stock footage which are extensively used are moving images of landmarks and cities, historical events or places, dangerous wildlife in their natural environments, sci-fiction imagery and sports settings. These very popular iconic video clips are perfect for your films and are available on these websites at reasonable prices. To take your documentary to a higher level you may add effective scenes from stock footage that these websites already have in store for you.

If you are considering a production with a particular scene shot in another country and you do not have enough resources to travel abroad, all you need to do is check whether such a video is available at a website providing stock footage. You only need to be concerned about the choice of individual stock clips you will be using for your production. These companies provide all the clips that are of high quality and good resolution. By using stock footage you can significantly reduce the cost of your production and add a much wider variety of the needed shots.

A majority of people identify with sports all across the world. These websites provide an array of sports stock footage which includes games like football, basketball, skiing, snowboarding, extreme sports, martial arts, motor sports, wrestling, water sports and many more. It is comparatively economical to add the video clips from a stock footage distribution company than to shoot it yourself. There are many videos in the particular field that cannot be shot and if even they can be, they cannot produce the authenticity of the real sport. Imagine that you are filming a motor racing scene, then you need a race track along with cars and a certain legendary takeover or a mishap which you won’t be able to produce. On these websites you have an array of videos matching with your production, to choose from sports footage.

Usage of a stock footage video clip can cut down the time and budget required for your production. All you need to do is skillfully insert the stock footage at the required parts of the film. Usage of stock footage can noticeably bring down the production costs of your sports film as shooting a video of team sports will require large production resources. You can easily add various special effects in your production with the help of these websites that can provide just the right footage at the right price too.

You can find high resolution videos covering a wide range of sports like football, basketball and many others at sports footage which can be easily downloaded.

The New Jeep Patriot: A Solid Performer

The words “Jeep” and “off-road” go together like sand dunes and Hi-Lift winches. And, with the improvements made to the new 2010 Jeep Patriot, its reputation for handling mud, hills and mountain streams shows no sign of slacking off.

Incorporating what Chrysler has appropriately titled the “Freedom II” package, the Patriot features enhancements that include an additional inch of ride-height over previous models as well as a 27.5-degree approach, a 23-degree brakeover and a 31.4-degree departure angle. With a solid brake system, reduced body roll and the steering decently weighted, the Freedom II package also includes its own continuously variable transmission (CVT) with a ground-hugging 19:1 low ratio for crawling over rocks, stream beds and other uneven surfaces. In addition, the Freedom II comes equipped with genuine Jeep parts that include fog lights, tow hooks, 17-inch all-terrain tires and a full-size spare with an air filtration system.

But, man cannot live by the trail alone. Getting to and from your destination often accounts for a good chunk of any trip, and Chrysler must have had this in mind when incorporating a slew of new and improved interior entertainment features. GPS, MP3 connectivity, satellite radio, a UConnect hands-free system and 30 gigs worth of storage—the Patriot’s added bonuses make the road seem a little less long.

In addition to the built-in components, the 2010 Patriot is capable of supporting a wide range of add-on Jeep accessories like car monitors and an iPod car adaptor. Car monitors feature bright LCD screens with bold picture quality with a wide range of input options, allowing you to take your DVDs or gaming system on the road wherever you go. With a relatively painless installation and a sleek look that matches the shape, fabric and color of the Patriot’s stock headrests, car monitors are a simple and attractive upgrade. Similarly, an iPod car adaptor provides the highest possible fidelity and features the added bonus of charging your digital music player at the same time. They plug directly into your car stereo, so you don’t get the hiss, crackle and pop of cassette adapters and FM radio transmitters.

There’s one thing that can be said for the 2010 Patriot: it’s been designed for digital sound. It includes a 368-watt, nine-speaker Boston Acoustic sound system, providing high-quality sound even at the loudest possible decibel—great for breaking up the silence of the backcountry with some choice selections from the Beastie Boys, Weezer or Green Day. Plus, two of those Jeep speakers are even attached to the hatch and fold down when open, making them perfect for the campsite or a tailgating party.

While the interior of the 2010 Patriot has received some improvements, including the removal of much of the plastic that had been incorporated into the dash on previous models, there still may be a slight lack of interior room. Adding on a roof rack is the easiest solution to this problem, enabling you to quickly and easily transport bikes, snowboards and a wide variety of other gear on your roof, saving valuable interior space while also preventing these items from blocking your vision. And, when you have to haul even more gear, couple your Patriot with a trailer hitch, to safely tow jet skis, snowmobiles or anything else too large to toss onto your roof.

After all, what fun is the outdoors without the proper gear?

Snowboard Boots

So you would like to find out how to snowboard huh? Brooding about taking a lesson? Lessons are truly important for your first time snowboarding. A good instructor can give a student a massive head start with some significant tips and exercises. I am going to break down a first time lesson here so you know what to expect for that first day on the slopes.

Come visit us right here for more info on Learn Snowboard Tricks. We are the greatest source of info on Snowboarding today.

So you made it to the mountain, picked up some gear from rentals and shuffled your way through the ticket line. And it’s finally time for your lesson. When you make it to the lesson area, just tells anybody in uniform’first timer’ and they’ll look after you.

All right lesson time. Make sure those boots are done up nice and tight. The first thing your instructor will show you is how the bindings and board work and the way to strap yourself in. Next is the easiest way to stand on a snowboard. The basic position is your action-ready position and the position you will make all your movements from.

Don’t forget to keep your full body above the board.
This can feel unusual at first but with a few tries it will become easy. You will only have one foot strapped in at that point so you may use your other foot to slow yourself down or regain balance if you slip.

To turn a snowboard all you’ve got to do is put some weight on an edge. Push your front toe down to turn towards your toes or push your heel down to turn towards your heels. Sound straightforward right? It might take a few makes an attempt to get it down but this is where the fun starts. It’s time to learn the way to stop. It’s also time to strap your other foot in.

The primary way is to fly down the hill with your arms flailing around and kicking the board about till you explode in a mess of snow, gloves and goggles. Not so fun right? The other way ( the sensible way ) is to turn your board across the hill and gently dig the uphill edge into the snow. This exercise is called a side-slip.
Remember your basic stance? It’s actually crucial to have your weight on both feet and the board across the hill otherwise you will not stop and keep sliding.

Tip : If making an attempt to stop on your heel edge don’t let your toes touch the snow as this may positively cause you to trip over. The same is applicable to the Toe edge. Nice work. Good job. The following step is riding the lift. Lift riding can be intimidating initially but is essentially quite simple. As the chair comes thru just simply sit down. Right, safety bar down and experience the view. You can laugh at all the people trying to get down the hill doing exactly what you just did. When you get to the top get your board straight, stand up straight and glide down the ramp like the first thing you learnt.
Alright first run completed.
The next step for you will be linked turns, developing your balance and control then maybe a harder slope.
