I love Snowboarding but cant quite master the big hits at the parks. Help?
I always hit the terrain park and can do the jibs okay but I could never really land big jumps besides like the usual 3 foot kicker you see on the trails. Dose anyone know how to ride of a landing while your 5 feet above the ground. If any of you are expert jumpers I’d sure like some feedback if you have any knowledge please answer
First of all make sure you have enough speed to hit a big jump. it sucks when you dont land on the downhill. Second, when going off the jump, bend your knees keep centered on the board, dont lean back or forward, and go off the jump flat. at first try and grab your board, i looks good and it will keep your balance in the air. sometimes you can ollie when going off the lip of the jump (its easier to do grabs), but make sure you have your ollies mastered on the flat groomed runs. once you have your grabs donw you can go onto bigger things. do not ollie when doing 180’s or 360’s just ride off the lip flat.
