Question for Burton.com frequent visitors?
Before the 2008 line came out and Burton changed their website, what was the little tool that helped pick out all your snowboarding gear from head to toe just by asking some questions like height and weight and the type of conditions you rode in? Where can I find something like that again since they have taken it away?
It was the “product chooser” and so far they havent added it to the “08 web site. Message me at brad_nc13@yahoo and I will help you out with any questions you have.

If you have decided to try you next ski vacation at Heavenly Mountain resort congratulations! Heavenly is a world-class resort with great snow. So no matter whether you’re going with family, friends or a corporate trip getting a little know how about the mountain resort itself and the ski rentals available are essential.
Heavenly is located on the California-Nevada border town of South Lake Tahoe. The Resort has about 97 ski runs serviced by 30 state of the art ski lifts. The resort has 4,800 acres of skiable terrain, which actually makes it the largest resort in California. The base elevation is 6,255 feet and the top elevation is nearly 10,067 feet offering a respectable vertical change 3,812 feet great for you downhill alpine skiers!

Another this to consider if your buying a full ski package for your vacation which I recommend you can get much better deals on rental equipment because you are purchasing so much more from the same place. With the lodging, ski lift tickets, airfare you’re sure to get a great deal on rental equipment.

Thursday, April 8th, 2010Wrong to wear “snowboarding clothes” while skiing?
So I’ve been hitting the slopes since I was 6 (25 now). I’ve skied and snowboarded probably equally over the years. Live in Oklahoma so I don’t get to go as much as I used to. I own both skis and board. So I’ve picked up plenty of gear over the years and back in ‘08 I went ahead and got a Burton jacket and some pants…simply ’cause I was sick of my old basic North Face duds.
Recently, I got a 4 day weekend and went to visit CO and hit the mountain once again. Decided to go with the skis that day. After 5 min of snapping in I get kids, teenagers, and a few older guys my age giving me crap about “skiing in snowboarding gear”. This was a gateway into a crappy day on the hill. Basic verbal and physical harassment by the locals all day. My friends that went with me said that the exact thing happened to them on other mountains/resorts as well.
So what do you guys think? To me its just clothes and I’d rather be comfortable doing what I enjoy…whether it be skiing or riding.
Who cares what they think. You’re comfortable, I’d do the same thing. Its just clothes. Man they act like you’re going to a fashion event.
