SNOWBOARDING STANCE ANGLE

How do I avoid wipeouts when snowboarding?
What is the ideal stance angle?
Keep your knees bent. If you stand up straight, you’ll far further and harder, and lot more often.
As far as stance angle, that relies heavily on what kind of boarding you’ll be doing, and what you’re comfortable with (it always boils down to preference). If you like to ride switch, and want to hit up the park, then duck is probably the kind of stance you want. If you’re going to be linking turns and looking for speed, and not spending time in the park, then use a forward stance.
The angle amounts will vary with preference, but with duck the front foot is angled forward, and the back foot is angled backward. That way, it makes it easier to ride switch (opposite foot than normal forward) because your front foot is always angled. Forward angles have the front foot at a forward angle, and the back foot either at 0 degrees (straight across) or slightly angled forward. Play around with it until you find what you like.
