SNOWBOARDING SOCKS BOOTS

Question on Snowboarding Boots?
Is it bad if my heel moves a little bit when I lean forward a bit to carve to turn to the right ?
I bought Burton Sl-9’s at a size of 10.5 . I normally wear 10 size shoes (and even those are a tad big, but thats how i wear them) but they seemed to fit well when i put them on, but when i snowboard they get looser throughout the day? Is the only way to prevent this, is by wearing double layer socks? Or is it normal for this to happen ?
The hard thing about boots is that there is not one person who has the same foot shape. This is the most common problem for snowboarders even if people dont notice it.
If you heal moves a very little bit, its ok. but if you feel like you can wiggle around a little then it no good!
It isnt not horrable, but a propper fitting boot will do wonders. If you heal moves up and down when you pivort from heal to toe, your loosing that much response. Your foot moves inside your boot instead of your foot moving the board. Making you have to put in more effort to control the board.
As for it getting worse over the long day that is normal. Most boots need to be retightend thrughout the day ( new lacing systems like the BOA and SPEEDLACING are a great way around that and work very well)
Wearing double soucks can help but in the end your just streching out the boots more. The best thing to to is try on as many boots fom as many differnt brands as possable to find the one that fits you the best. Your toes should be touching the tip but not puching up against it. When trying them on or tying, step in tighten and lean forward like you would on a snowboard. Then tighten them again in that position.
Burton boots aslo should come with inserts for the heals called J-Bars. they fit in around the side of your heal to have a more custom fit.
