SNOWBOARDING PACKAGES FOR MEN

SNOWBOARDING PACKAGES FOR MEN
MENs or WOMANs ??

i asked a question regarding what type of board i should buy as my weight and shoe size exceeds that of some wmans sizeing.
i was wondering would it matter that i got a Mens snowboarding boots board bindings ect even thou i am a female? would it affect my snowboarding?
NOTE: i am only a biggner/intermadiate (more intermediate).

please advise or would i be best just still going for a womans package??

as a sales person did say to me that mens boots and that are made for men, in other words i souldnt get mens..?/

The previous answerer was correct when they said that there are womens specific boards and then there are unisex boards, there are no mens specific boards.

Boots are the most important part of your setup. Spend the most time and try on as many pairs as possible. Be sure to tell the sales person you are working with that womens boots may not work for you and try on both mens and womens sizes (if they are unwilling to work with you, then find better sales people). A good fitting boot is one in which you feel the fit to be a bit too small (not much but just a bit). This is a good thing as most boots will stretch at least half a size after a couple of days of use. I get quite a few days in a season and I always get my boots a half size to a full size too small.

After this, the bindings are fairly easy….get a pair that offers the features and support you want and a size that will fit your boots. Womens bindings are usually smaller and have shorter highbacks to better fit the shape of a womans legs.

Next pick the board. Generally, a womens specific board will not just be shorter than a mens board but it will have a narrow insert pattern (stance) to accommodate a typically smaller womens frame. A narrower waist width to accommodate a typically smaller foot. And the tip is usually just a bit softer than that of a unisex board as women have a lower center of gravity than guys and this makes it easier for women to drive the tip of the board. If you don’t fit the mold of the smaller footed, smaller framed ladies, then by all means get a “guys” board, this will not negetively affect your riding. In fact, it will probably help it as you will be getting a board that better suits you.
