SNOWBOARDING EQUIPMENTS
what are the key steps when trying to get into snowboarding and skiing for the first time?
I recently was really interested in getting involved with either skiing and/or snowboarding. I really have no idea where to even begin equipment wise or really what to do. Any suggestions?
Go to a ski resort.
Purchase a ticket, rentals, and lesson package.
Go to rental shop at resort…rent equipment.
Show up for your lesson.
Listen to your instructor.
Tip your instructor. ($10 is a good tip for a 1-hour lesson.)
Continue skiing/snowboarding.
For your first time I wouldn’t worry about buying a lot of high-end gear. Just go on a day when it’s not snowing too much and wear warm winter clothes. Sure, a ski jacket and snowpants are a good idea, but people wear all sorts of things. Avoid cotton if possible.
