SNOWBOARDING ACCIDENT

What is this knee injury?
I had a snowboarding accident, there was swelling, pain, and I couldn’t really bend my legs.
Now (4 days later) I almost have full motion back, swelling is down, but when I stand for a while there’s a sharp pain below my knee caps on both knees.
I have had experience with knee injuries , especially ligament damage. Don’t rule it out but i don’t think that you have done any ligaments as the swelling stays for quite a while. You may have cartilage damage or maybe you have strained a ligament.
The reason I think that cartilage damage is more likely is because on a snowboard you knees are less likely to twist as your fixed to one board whereas if you are skiing your knee can go one way with the ski and your body the other which will do the ligament. I think that you should get it checked out either way.
good luck.
