Do you think the Lakers should’ve cut Radmonovic when they had the chance?
He got hurt while snowboarding and told eveyrone that he slipped on a patch of ice. The guy lied…he lied to the fans, players, the organization, everybody and he doesn’t deserve a second chance. He wasn’t thinking about the Lakers well being when he went snowboarding, so should we? Let’s face it…he’s a bust, he doesnt fit in Phil Jackson’s triganlesy stem…he is a big fat guy with no post up game and is a poor shooter from outside and has no skills dribbling the ball while being a liability on defense…they should’ve cut his 5 year 33 million dollars contract when they had the chance
Since he’s out for the year, why didn’t they just cut him? They could’ve used that and the cap space they’re getting with Brian Grant’s contract comin off the books next year (yea i know they still pay him for sittin at home!) to sign a top notch free agent next year who would fit into the triangle such as Rashard Lewis, Billups, Blake, Bibby, Mo Peterson…Vince Carter is a FA but he won’t fit
I’m from Seattle, so i remember Radmonovic when he was on the Sonics. He would have occaisional great shooting games along wih a few atrocious ones, and he never bothered to play much defense or rebound…or dribble or set screens or pass or anything else in the game of basketball. Then, summer ‘05 we offered him a ludicrous 6 year 42 million contract…which he refused. Apparently, he thought he was more valuabe than that. Although the Sonics aren’t exactly tearing it up, that contract would have doomed the franchise for a half-dozen years or more, and the Laker’s signing him was almost as bizarre as the contract Denver gave to Nene. Yes, they should have cut him when they could.
