1) What was the hardest part when you first learned to snowboard?

2) How experienced were you when you bought your first board, gear, etc?

3) How did you learn to snowboard?

4) How long did it take of experience until you could ride down the main, intermediate slopes?

5) What are some words or like ‘lingo’ that you actually use as a snowboarder?

6) If you know any tricks, what is the easiest one to learn first?

Toe turns.

NOOB!

Watching others, not giving up, a lot of falls, and a lot of days.

You mean blue? Maybe a season or two. I started really young compared to most people and I didn’t have anybody holding my hand. Most of it is mental. People are afraid of falling. But when you power through that rough spot, you realize you can take it on.

Pow, pop, jib, kook, slash, spray, kicker, ate-it, noob, park rat or monkey, shred, butter, gnar, you get the idea. There’s about three or more names for every term. lol.

Ollie? Lean back and jump pretty much. Use the springing force of your tail to pop. That’s the basis for most tricks.
