DAKINE SNOWBOARDING WRIST GUARDS
What is the BEST wrist guard for snowboarding?
I really want to go snowboarding this year, but last year I broke my wrist because I had no wrist guard. My drumline became very angry with me because I could not drum until the last competition. I do NOT want a rerun of that, so I was wondering which wrist guard (specifically) would be the best to prevent my wrist from breaking, prevent my wrist from getting fractured again, and/or protect my wrist the best.
I was looking through everywhere, but every person has their own personal favorite. I just want to know which one will protect my wrist the greatest.
Right now, I’m leaning toward the 2009 DAKINE wrist guard.
I have tried the Dakine wrist guards and they were comfortable and seemed to take a lot of the pressure off of the wrist when falling – I would recommend them. You should try them with your gloves to make sure they work together. I recommend seperate guards that you can wear when needed seperate from gloves.
I would also suggest learning the correct way to fall – don’t try to catch yourself but instead roll to the ground. Also learn to protect your tailbone when falling backward – try to fall to one side or the other.
