Snowboarding Vs. Skiing?

Which is harder to learn? I am going to Colorado Later this year and was wondering. But the fact is I already can skateboard really well and maybe thought that would make snowboarding a lot easier.

snowboarding is harder to learn than skiing and skateboarding has no influence on snowboarding.

skiing is fun if you actually know how to do it and can get air off jumps and do tricks. it is also fun to get a lot of speed on skis. if you ski, you wont have to worry so much about falling.

snowboarding on the other hand is fun once you get used to it, even if you dont go off jumps. the only thing is that you fall a lot, and it gets frustrating after a while if its your first time.

what is everybody else in your group doing? if everyone is skiing and you are snowboarding, then they will have to wait for you to take off your binding at the bottom and put it on at the top. that gets boring for skiiers and sometimes they will ditch you (thats the way it is with my group, i dont know about yours)
