CHEAP BURTON SNOWBOARDING GEAR

Is my snowboarding setup decent for a newer snowboard who’s a quick learner?

I’m fairly new to snowboarding, but i’m athletic and a quick learner so generally I buy intermediate gear when starting a sport. Anyway, just curious whether a 2009 Burton Custom ICS, with Burton Cartel bindings, and then either Burton Hail or Burton Jeremy Jones boots are a good setup for someone who can pretty much carve and that’s it? p.s. Also looking at Forum Episode, or Forum Recon boots. p.p.s. Please don’t make this a brand loyalty debate, if you think Burton is overpriced, i’d love a suggestion for a comparable quality board that’s cheaper. Thanks in advance for your help

If i were you i wouldnt go with a custom ICS or Burton cartel bindings. Atleast not yet, anyway, the custom is an excellent all mountain freestyle board if your willing to pay that much. And if you do decide to get the custom dont go with ICS. Its no different then the normal 3d . Trust me i was into the whole EST/ICS deal a few weeks ago. i would probably go with a Burton Blunt and match that with either Burton Mission bindings or Burton Custom bindings. As for a boot if your looking for a softer boot, the Burton tribute are good those are what i have and same for the Mission Bindings. I rock 2 pairs, the 06 for my Punch and the 09’s for my Skate Banana
