Does this seem like it would be a good snowboarding/skiing jacket that’d keep me warm, dry, and would last a couple of years?

For $120, it’s a good jacket, but it is NOT warm. It’s more of an outer layer, so you’ll need some long underwear and a midlayer (if you’re on a budget, grab a cheap ugly wool sweater from the clearance bins at the Gap or JCrew). Burton clothes are great quality, so it will certainly last more than two years of normal riding, but you do get what you pay for with them, and $120 is on the lower side of their gear. That said, they made this jacket so you could look good and stay dry without dropping too much cash, and they did a good job.
